Primer corte, del LP "Fire Of Love", primer álbum de estudio de la banda de Los Angeles:

En abril de 1980, y tras varios cambios de formación previos, "The Creeping Ritual" cambiaron su nombre al Gun Club por sugerencia del compañero de cuarto de Pierce, el cantante de Circle Jerks Keith Morris. Kid Congo comentó que las primeras encarnaciones del Gun Club fueron "demasiado artísticas para la gente del rock, demasiado rock para las personas artísticas, demasiado cucos para la multitud de blues y demasiado estadounidenses para el punk".

Seguirian varios cambios de formación hasta 1981. Una vez asegurado un contrato discográfico con Ruby Records, una división de Slash, el grupo lanzó su álbum debut, Fire of Love, el 31 de agosto de 1981.
